Microbiome 3 Research Study - Precision microbiome nutrition to improve brain health

 

Research has shown that the gut and brain communicate. This communication depends on gut bacteria, the microbiome. The Bruyère Health Research Institute has a new study that will compare changes of people with memory loss taking prebiotics (a food for microbiome) to people with memory loss not taking prebiotics.

 

Who is eligible?

  • Over the age of 60
  • Diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment or Alzheimer’s disease


What to expect?

  • Take either prebiotic or placebo
  • Fill out Questionnaires
  • Provide two stool samples
