Microbiome 3 Research Study - Precision microbiome nutrition to improve brain health
Research has shown that the gut and brain communicate. This communication depends on gut bacteria, the microbiome. The Bruyère Health Research Institute has a new study that will compare changes of people with memory loss taking prebiotics (a food for microbiome) to people with memory loss not taking prebiotics.
Who is eligible?
- Over the age of 60
- Diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment or Alzheimer’s disease
What to expect?
- Take either prebiotic or placebo
- Fill out Questionnaires
- Provide two stool samples
